Music
First of all, relax! This is not the atonal screeching you may associate with modern
“art” music. Having spent my whole life helping make poetry something people could
enjoy again, would I do that to you? My aim is not to make you suffer for the sins
of the 20th century, but to put
the fun back in music: melodies you can hum, rhythms
that dance, harmonies that sing instead of screech. If this be treason, make the
most of it.

Adagio for Orchestra in memory of Anna Lee Veach, 1920-
My mother got to hear my first symphony in her final days,
and this Adagio movement
was played at her funeral.
Symphony #1, First movement: Allegro
The dreaded “S” word! Fear not. This one’s just as tuneful as the other two.
In fact, the others are also movements of the same symphony!
